Last updated: July 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how MEMAR collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our business management and receipt tracking platform.

1. Information We Collect

MEMAR ("we", "us", or "our") is an internal business management platform provided by your employer, Middle Eastern Market & Restaurant. Access is restricted to authorized employees and administrators only — this app is not available to the general public. We collect the following types of information when you use the platform:

  • Account Information: Work email address, encrypted password, and assigned role within the organization.
  • Business Data: Employee records, salary records, expense reports, invoices, supplier information, check details, cash transactions, timesheet data, and receipts you upload as part of your job duties.
  • Uploaded Files: Receipt images, invoice scans, and check images processed via AI-powered scanning.
  • Usage Data: Audit logs of actions performed within the app (creations, updates, approvals, deletions) for internal accountability and compliance.
  • Device & Location Data: For timesheet clock-in geofencing, approximate GPS coordinates and Wi-Fi network information may be collected when you clock in or out, solely to verify on-premises attendance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely for internal business operations:

  • Provide business management features including payroll, expenses, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Process receipt and invoice scanning via AI extraction.
  • Track employee attendance and timesheets with location verification.
  • Send in-app notifications for salary reminders, invoice due dates, and check deadlines.
  • Maintain audit trails for internal compliance and accountability.
  • Synchronize deadlines with your connected Google Calendar (if you voluntarily authorize it).

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

This is an internal enterprise application. We do not sell your data and do not share it with any third parties for marketing. Data is shared only within the organization and with necessary service providers:

  • Internal Access: Your data is accessible to administrators and authorized managers within Middle Eastern Market & Restaurant based on their assigned roles and permissions.
  • Service Providers: Cloud hosting, AI processing, and email delivery services that support our internal platform operations.
  • Legal Authorities: If required by law, court order, or government regulation.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted passwords, role-based access control, secure API authentication, and audit logging. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your business data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. Some records may be retained for legal or accounting compliance purposes.

6. Your Privacy Rights

As an internal employee user, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal and business data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Revoke OAuth authorizations (e.g., Google Calendar, Google Sheets) at any time.
  • Opt out of location-based timesheet tracking (note: this may affect your ability to use the clock-in feature).

To exercise these rights, contact your organization's administrator. Account creation and deletion are managed by your employer's administrators — you cannot self-register.

7. Third-Party Services

MEMAR integrates with the following third-party services when authorized:

  • Google Calendar: For deadline synchronization (requires your OAuth consent).
  • Google Sheets: For data export (requires your OAuth consent).
  • AI Processing: For receipt, invoice, and check image extraction.

These services have their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them.

8. Children's Privacy

MEMAR is an internal business management platform restricted to authorized adult employees. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy within the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
